The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has on Tuesday, August 2025, hosted the triumphant D’Tigress at its headquarters in Abuja.

The D’Tigress were welcomed by Bashir Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, and other Board Chairmen of the organisation, as well as the President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Musa Kida.

While congratulating the victorious D’Tigress, Ojulari reaffirmed NNPCL’s commitment and determination to grow the country’s sports.

Mallam Shehu Diko, the National Sports Commission, was also in attendance alongside the Vice President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, Babs Ogunade.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Monday, August 4, 2025, rewarded each player of the D’Tigress team with $100,000, a new apartment, and the Order of the Niger (OON) national honours as a token of appreciation for winning an unprecedented fifth consecutive AfroBasket Women Championship.
