NSE, NCAA forge strategic alliance to boost Aviation engineering
The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have entered a partnership aimed at elevating the skills and capacity of aviation engineers across the country.
The agreement, finalized during a high-level meeting at the NCAA headquarters in Abuja, brought together NSE President Mrs. Margaret Oguntala and NCAA Director General Captain Chris Najomo. Both leaders emphasized the urgent need to build a resilient workforce equipped to meet global aviation standards.
The collaboration will drive targeted capacity-building programs focused on promoting engineering excellence and keeping pace with rapid technological advancements in aviation.
According to a joint statement, both parties are committed to continuous professional development, knowledge sharing, and the integration of innovative technologies to uphold safety and technical standards.
Captain Najomo highlighted the indispensable role of engineers and technical experts in maintaining air travel safety. He urged the NSE to take on a more proactive role in designing safer systems and investing in research and development.
The partnership is poised to positively transform Nigeria’s aviation landscape, ensuring the country remains a strong competitor in the global aviation arena.
