Nigerian National Volleyball League Championship Begins In Abia with 19 States competing for glory

The Phase 2 of the Nigerian National Volleyball League Division 1 and 2 Championship has kicked off in Umuahia, Abia State with 19 States competing for glory.

The Volleyball League, which is for male and female categories, is being played in Umuahia township stadium and will end on October 20.

Speaking to Journalists at Umuahia township stadium , the First Vice Chairman of Nigeria Volleyball Referees Association, Mohammed Mohammed declared that no team would suffer any form of unfair officiating as according to him, all referees would be professional in their duties.

Mohammed advised players and teams against involving in unprofessional conducts throughout the Championship but to accept results of their games, if defeated.

He expressed satisfaction with the Volleyball equipment installed in the stadium, adding that Nigeria can tackle unemployment by exporting professional Volleyballers.

Also speaking, Abia State Director of Sports, Obioma George and the Commissioner for Sports and Youth development , Nwaobilor Ananaba said that the provision of modern sporting equipment in Umuahia township stadium by Governor Alex Otti made many Sports Federations to pick Abia to host different sporting events.
