Medical Experts seek more investment in the health sector

Medical Experts have called for more investment the Health Sector to reposition medical facilities in the Country to stand the test of time and compete favourably with Global best practices.

They made the call at the Committee of Chief Medical Directors of Federal Teaching Hospital in Nigeria, CCMDFTH at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, UATH Gwagwalada -Abuja.

Speaking on behalf of the medical Experts, the Chairman of CCMDFTH, who is also the Chief Medical Director Uyo University Teaching Hospital, UUTH, Prof. Emem Bassey while inspecting some facilities at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, UATH Gwagwalada said, he was impressed with the level of infrastructure in UATH, and charged other CMD to replicate same in their States.

The Meeting coincided with the ,2023 University of Abuja Teaching Hospital UATH, Annual Staff Award Day.

The Chief Medical Director of UATH Prof, Bissallah Ekele said that the organization under his watch would continue to identify and rewards staff who Distinguished themselves while performing their duties.

Some of the awardees thanked management of UATH for seeing them worthy of the award and promised to continue putting in their best for the overall interest of all.

High point of the event was the commissioning of a block of six Units of one bedroom flat for junior workers by the Committee Chief Medical Directors Federal Teaching Hospital and chief Medical Director Uyo University Teaching Hospital, Prof. Emem Bassey.
