Here Are All The Winners Of The 2018 AFRIFF Globe Awards + Photos
Last week, the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) held its 8th annual session. After screening some of the finest films from all over Africa, the festival concluded with the 2018 Africa International Film Festival’s Globe Awards.
Last year we saw the awards diversify beyond predominantly Nigerian winners, which was mostly the case in previous years. This year has kept this same broadness — fully realising the festival’s recurring theme, “Africa Unites” — with awards being spread all across Africa.
As anticipated, Adekunle Adejuyigbe’s acclaimed The Delivery Boy was awarded ‘Best Nigerian Film’. Beside this, Nigeria scored two more wins: ‘Best Short Film’, which Stanlee Ohikuare took home for Coat of Harms; and the Audience’s Choice Award, which went to Ema Edosio’s Kasala.
