All Nigeria Jerseys have now sold out and there are no current plans for a restock’ – Nike

Nike has officially released the much talked about football kits which will be worn by the Super Eagles of Nigeria to the Russia 2018 World Cup, and fans are trooping out to buy them.

Hundreds of Nigerian football fans on Friday morning, queued outside Nike’s flagship store on Oxford Street in London, United Kingdom, as they tried to get their hands on Nigeria’s ‘snazzy’ new official World Cup jersey.

Photos making the rounds on social media, show fans queuing outside NikeTown this morning as the hotly-anticipated football top hit UK shelves for the first time.

The Super Eagles kit reportedly sold out within minutes online after it finally went on sale, as over three million pre-orders were made before Friday. Both home and away kits among others, cost £65.

There has been huge buzz around the kit ahead of the World Cup in Russia, with the home shirt’s zig zag design and retro look leading to it being hailed the tournament’s best.

Nigeria will debut the kit in their friendly match against England at Wembley on Saturday evening.

Nike UK said on Friday that the kit sold out almost immediately online, with limited availability likely in stores and apparently no plans to restock the collection.

It first went on sale in some Nike stores in Nigeria on Tuesday, before being made available in the UK on Friday.

The new Nigerian Super Eagles jersey became available worldwide today and the designer of the merchandise, Nike has just said its sold out.

Responding to a fan who had difficulty ordeing for the jersey online, the official and verified twitter handle of NikeUK said, ‘All three Nigeria jerseys have now sold out. There are no current plans for a restock’.
