Wizkid & Ceeza Milli Team Up On MUT4Y’s New Track, ‘Commando’

Last year, MUT4Y — one half of the record producing duo, Legendury Beatz — scored a monster hit with his Wizkid-assisted single, “Manya”. Now, following the success of his first-ever single, MUT4Y has teamed up with Wizkid (again) and Ceeza Milli for his second single, “Commando“.

While the three surprise tracks Wizkid dropped today found him branching out from the monotony of his recent sound, the Spellz-produced “Commando” feels very much like a spiritual sequel to “Nowo” and “Soco”. Thankfully, Ceeza Milli manages to switch up the song’s energy on his solid verse.

Like most, if not all, of the songs Wizkid has released or been featured on over the past year, “Commando” is about a girl he’s infatuated with. “The love wey you give me girl, it dey high pass pami/ Omalicha girl, you sweet pass jollof”, he sings at the start of the track.

Although this song doesn’t have the nostalgia effect going for it — like “Manya” did — it’s still a pretty solid effort. The main issue “Commando” will have going forward, however, is trying to steal attention from the other three tracks Wizkid dropped last night.
