Listen: Davido Teams Up With Stefflon Don For The Remix Of ‘Fia’
Davido‘s 2018 has been relatively strong so far — he’s released a perfectly fine single, completed his sophomore album and featured on a bunch of songs — but it hasn’t yet come close to just how great his 2017 was.
So, it should come as no surprise that he recently turned his attention to one of the songs that made last year such a definitive one for him: “Fia”. Over the long weekend, he dropped a remix of the hit track featuring British rapper, Stefflon Don.

Like most remixes, not much has been changed from the original. The Fresh VDM-produced track — which found Davido singing about not being a fool for love — still retains its infectious energy, which Stefflon Don matches scream for scream on her killer verse.
With her patois-tinged flow, Stefflon Don sings about a supportive partner she’d gladly die for — a sharp contrast to Davido’s brash cynicism. She calls him her “lover and homie”, and promises him breakfast in bed kinda like she did on her French Montana-assisted hit, “Hurtin’ Me”.
While we weren’t really clamouring for a remix to “Fia” — we honestly didn’t think the song could get any better — Stefflon Don is having so much fun on the track, it’s hard to be mad at the outcome. We really hope the two of them get to work together again.
