Lil Kesh Drops One Of His Best Songs In A While, ‘Apa Mi’

Last year, Lil Kesh dropped three songs — “No Fake Love”, “Baby Favour” and “Rora” — and while all of them were relatively solid, none of them gave him that massive hit he was clearly hunting for. Now, he is back with his first song of 2018, “Apa Mi”.

Produced by Princeton, “Apa Mi” is not only better than all the songs Lil Kesh released last year, it’s one of the best songs he’s ever released, period. If this doesn’t get him that hit song he’s looking for, then nothing will.

With “Apa Mi”, Lil Kesh continues to prove he is the true heir to Olamide’s Yoruba rap throne. It feels like a cross between Olamide’s “Science Student” and”Assignment” — basically, it’s the kind of song that makes people drop their home training when it comes on.

While his debut album, Y.A.G.I, wasn’t nearly as strong as we were expecting it to be, this new set of songs — most especially “Apa Mi” — give us hope for his upcoming sophomore album. We really hope he decides to drop it soon.
