You can listen To Sade Adu’s First Song In 7 Years, ‘Flower Of The Universe’ on March 9th 2018
Two weeks ago, Ava DuVernay took to Twitter to announce that the incomparable Sade Adu had created her first original song in about seven years for her upcoming Disney science fantasy film, A Wrinkle In Time — which follows a young girl’s quest to find her father.

Gearing up for the film’s release in a couple of days, the song — titled “Flower Of The Universe” — just dropped, and it’s every bit as magical as we imagined it would be.
Delicately produced by No I.D., who shared the song on Twitter calling Sade a “legend”, “Flower Of The Universe” is a soft ballad that soars on the strength of Sade’s inimitable voice. Like the film it’s for, you totally feel the song transporting you somewhere other-worldly.
The ethereal ballad will be part of the movie’s official soundtrack, which will also feature music from Demi Lovato, Chloe x Halle, Kehlani, DJ Khaled, Sia and Freestyle Fellowship. While Sia and Kehlani’s songs have been teased, “Flower Of The Universe” is the first track to be released.
Speaking about getting Sade’s contribution to the movie, DuVernay said:
“I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway. She was kind [and] giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget.”
A Wrinkle in Time is set to hit theatres on March 9.
