Bisola Knocks It Out Of The Park With Catchy New Song, ‘Boda Luku’
No matter how you feel about Bisola following her frustrating Big Brother Naija run — where she came in second — you can’t deny just how talented the singer and actress actually is. Which is what made the first couple of songs she released after the competition so underwhelming.
Thankfully, she pulls off a rather swift course correction with her unexpectedly fantastic new song, the afropop “Boda Luku”.
Excellently produced by the talented Adey (who seems to keep getting better and better), the delightful “Boda Luku” feels like a slight cross between a Yemi Alade and Simi song — and yes, it’s as great as that sounds.
On the track, Bisola sings about a man, the titular Boda Luku, who all the woman want to be with. She sings about throwing her hat in the ring, trying to win his attention from the hoard of women who flock around him.
In the pretty simple music video, Adey plays the sought after Boda Luku. While on the song, Bisola sings about trying to win his affections, the video shows that she’s already succeeded — to the dismay of all the women in his compound.
