Watch The Star-Studded Video For Davido’s New Single, ‘Flora My Flawa’

For the first month in 2018, Davido kept himself busy by featuring on a bunch of songs by different upcoming artists – all the songs sounding like a slight variation of his 2017 hit, “Fia”. Then he followed that up by gathering the stars of his label together on the solid “Mind”.

Now, after getting all the repetitive sounds out of his system, he is back with his first official single of 2018, “Flora My Flawa”.

Produced by Fresh VDM – the man responsible for “Fia” and “Mind” – “Flora My Flawa” might not be as instantly enjoyable as most of Davido’s 2017 hits, but it’s certainly a track that has the potential to grow on even the strictest Davido detractors.

For one, it’s a more lyrically cohesive song than we are used to getting from Davido. Probably benefiting from a relatively lean runtime, the track sticks to the overall theme of all-consuming love from start to finish – which is impressive since Davido usually gets distracted by the second verse.

The music video, which was directed by Clarence Peters, features cameo appearances from Dremo, Mayorkun, Ngozi Nwosu, Nancy Isime and more. It follows Davido’s love interest, Flora as she spends 30 years trying to convince her friends that her relationship with the star is real.
