Here’s A First Look At Seyi Shay & Vector In Upcoming Film, ‘Lara And The Beat’
Nigerian musicians branching out from studios into a movie set is not a new thing, as we have examples like Banky W leading the highest grossing Nollywood movie of all time, The Wedding Party.
Perhaps this has led to more musicians gearing towards acting and now Seyi Shay and Vector will be starring in an upcoming movie, Lara And The Beat.
Last year, Biola Alabi Media, the company which brought us the hilarious Banana Island Ghost announced Lara and the Beat. This new movie is a coming-of-age story about the Giwa sisters, who are caught in the middle of a financial scandal to do with their late parents’ media empire.
The first teaser follows Lara Giwa (played by Seyi Shay), showing her in different lights; as a socialite, dreamer, diva and party girl. The storyline is unclear, as there was no sound in the video, but Seyi Shay seems to be acting her little heart out in it!
The movie will also star an interesting mix of actors including Somkele Iyamah-Idhalama, Chinedu Ikedieze, Bimbo Manuel, Chioma Chukwuka, Deyemi Okanlawon, Sharon Ooja and others. It’s set for release on June 8, and while we were already excited, the trailer has made us even more intrigued.
