Here Are 5 Nollywood Movies Now Available On Netflix

Watching Nollywood movies online is tough, as, save for Iroko TV and some YouTube pirates, you can never find the good ones outside the cinema. Luckily, it seems the demand was noticed and met when Netflix picked up some Nollywood films, and their catalogue has been growing ever since.

A few months ago, we pointed out the best Nollywood films for Netflix and chill, and you’ll be glad to know that more of these have been added to satisfy our guilty pleasures! Most of these movies are actually surprisingly good, so don’t be shy to spend your time and data watching them.

Here are some of the new Nollywood additions on Netflix!

When Love Comes Around

Looking for something light to play in the background when you’re in one of those ‘I don’t want to do anything’ moods? Bingo! Equal parts entertaining and cringe, When Love Comes Around is the perfect chick flick for this! Starring Eku Edewor and Jim Iyke, the story follows an unlikely couple that thrives against the odds.

The Visit

Starring the talented Nse Ikpe-Etim and Blossom Chukwujekwu, The Visit tells the story of two couples with conflicting lifestyles. Over time, they find themselves bearing secrets and shocking revelations which sets them on course for something they never bargained for: a friendship.

Out Of Luck

This thriller follows the adventures of a young lottery operator whose life is turned upside down because local gangster insists that he receives money from lottery he did not win. Starring Chigul, Jide Kosoko, Linda Ejiofor and others, we definitely think this one is a must watch! See why for yourself:

The Arbitration

In the current climate created by Aziz Ansari, this movie is especially important. Even though Babe.netwho reported the story failed to draw out the pertinent discussion surrounding the wide spectrum of sexual assault, it opened up the discussion about how the premise of coercion is linked to assault.

This movie tackles this head-on, where a court case is built on a man coercing a woman into sex. While in Nigerian fashion there are some loopholes, it is a brilliant take and we want everyone to watch this one in particular!

Green White Green

Green White Green is a brilliant coming-of-age movie which revolves around three teenagers, who seem on an interminably long wait for university. The movie takes a satirical tone on the mess that has become of Nigeria, and the effects of this on young millennials.
