Someone Is Clearly Trolling Nigerians With The ‘Avengers 3’ Cast List

Last week, news broke that Funke Akindele was part of the cast of Avengers: Infinity War, and as you can imagine, everyone was gassed about it. Only a few days later, it turned out that her name had been removed from the cast list, and replaced with Genevieve Nnaji‘s.

Not that Genevieve Nnaji is not worthy, but we’re finding it all a bit curious. We’re of two opinions: someone thinks it’s funny to troll Nigerians about this and is having a blast reading all the reactions because we are such a funny bunch. Or, neither of them are starring in the movie and it was all a ploy to gain some publicity from Nigerians to up their numbers.

If it’s the former, we need to become friends with that person because that is actually genius trolling and we will need some tips. If it’s the latter, that’s irritating as we were already excited about the film, and there was no need to play us.

We don’t know what the truth is, however, a little part of us still hope we’ll get to see Funke Akindele kicking ass a Dora Milaje alongside the Avengers. Either way, we will still be posted up in the cinema on May 4 when it comes out!
