The Mo Hits Crew Reunited At Davido’s 30 Billion Concert
2017 is drawing to an end, but Davido took us all the way back to 2008 when he gave us a Mo Hits reunion at his concert last night. Davido had teased about a special guest previously, saying that his concert was going to be “mad and loud” – and that it was! (Shade intended)
We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the Mo Hits crew together on stage, as we haven’t seen them as a unit for many years! Mo Hits record consisted of D’banj, Don Jazzy, Wande Coal, Dr Sid, D Prince, K switch and Ikechukwu. In their reign, they gave us hits on their legendary album, Curriculum Vitae such as “Close To You”, “Booty Call”, “Pere” and “Wind Am Well”. It was truly heartbreaking when they announced their split, and they have (all) yet to come back to that initial glory.
It was a real moment to have them all on stage together, because it seems as though they have been at odds since their split. From Wizkid and Davido shocking fans with a surprise performance at Wizkid’s concert to Mo’ Hits’ reunion at Davido’s concert, 2017 will go down in Nigerian music history, and will not be forgotten in a hurry.
