Chiwetel Ejiofor Was Almost An Anti-Hero In The DC Cinematic Universe
British-Nigerian actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor, is one of the few Hollywood actors lucky enough to have landed a substantial part in Marvel’s acclaimed cinematic universe. He plays Baron Modo in Doctor Strange; a villain in the comics, but an ally and companion in the movie (for now, anyway).
Well, it turns out, the Oscar-nominated actor could have been a major part of DC’s cinematic universe instead. According to Grammy-winning music video director, Joseph Kahn, he pitched a version of Justice League Dark to Warner Bros. in 2015, but it was ultimately rejected.

Chiwetel Ejiofor as Jason Blood
Kahn, who has worked with some of the world’s biggest pop stars, released a couple of his designs for the movie on Twitter. It showed his wishlist of actors at the time, which included Chiwetel Ejiofor as Jason Blood.
For those who aren’t comic book nerds, Justice League Dark is DC’s supernatural variation on the original Justice League. This team deals with more other worldly threats because their powers are more equipped to handle them.
One of the team’s main members, Jason Blood is a world leading expert on the occult and demonology. He has walked the Earth since the 6th Century — after the wizard, Merlin bound a dangerous demon to his soul.
While a live-action movie about the team appears on the Warner Bros. slate, no clear detail has actually been released by the studio. For those of you who are too impatient to wait though, a pretty solid animated movie about the team was released last year.
