9 Lies You Should Stop Telling Yourself If You Want To Be Successful

We are mostly the reason to why we don’t excel in our lives.

Yes, you are your own enemy but you would rather blame others for your misfortune. You live and you learn, when people hurt you and you still stay there then it is no longer their fault, but yours. You are what you think and what you repeatedly do.

If you want to be successful here are lies you should stop telling yourself:

1. I can’t start a business.

Why can’t you start a business? Because you are fearful of the sacrifice and time that it will entail. The reality is you don’t want to feel uncomfortable so you would rather work for people even when you have good ideas.

2. The company I work for is too competitive that’s why I am not good.

Nope, you are not good because you have settled for who you are in that company. If it is competitive then what gives you an edge?

3. My co-workers are trying to be against me.

How are they trying to be against you? If there is a real pending issue then you ought to report it to the HR. But remember you are your own competition and no one is responsible for your success but yourself.

4. I didn’t go to the right school so I don’t think I’ll get that job.

School has very little to do with your job. As a matter of fact, you may have been the best in school because you passed exams but the worst at what you do. You get the job you want based on how much time you put into it.

5. I really don’t think I can save I have too many responsibilities.

Whether you’re saving a coin a day or whatever, it can always amount to something. Some people save for a rainy day while others save for a particular project. Saving helps you learn to sacrifice, you learn to give up something for a greater cause.

 

6. I don’t live in the right city to pursue my dreams.

This is just an excuse, what are you then doing to achieve your dreams? If you really want it then nothing will stop you.

7. I am too old to do the job I would have done.

What do you mean you are too old? Perhaps it is an online job, what makes you think you can’t do it? As long as the passion is there then this is a big lie in your head.

8. I can’t go back to school because I am already working.

You can always get an education anytime or any day, as a matter of fact, you should always be trying to sharpen your brain with knowledge.

9. I don’t have the time.

What do you mean you don’t have the time? You have 24 hours and I bet there are many hours wasted on social media, useless conversations or just lazying around. Yes, take care of yourself but also don’t rest until you get what you want.
