Mikel Obi joins Eagles, Akpeyi delayed by flight hitch
Skipper Mikel Obi has finally joined up with the Super Eagles squad in Rabat, Morocco, but South Africa-based goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi was delayed following a flight hitch.

Eagles spokesman Toyin Ibitoye disclosed that Mikel has joined the squad in Morocco ahead of Friday’s World Cup qualifier in Algeria.
However, Akpeyi is now expected to join the team today after a hitch in his flight from Johannesburg.
Uncapped goalkeeper Francis Uzoho joined the team Tuesday evening.
The Eagles will train twice today and Ibitoye said yesterday’s first workout in Morocco was great.
“We have had relaxed but competitive training,” he said.
“There is quality in every area of the team and that means a pleasant headache for the coaches to choose the starting XI.
The Eagles will fly out to Algeria tomorrow.
