Nwankwo Kanu Will Tour Zimbabwe With The FA Cup Trophy This Weekend

Just like religion, football is a powerful tool (except instead of separating, it unites), and brands are steadily buying into it. Last week, we got news that Guinness will bring Thierry Henry to Kenya, and now news has surfaced that another Arsenal legend and former Super Eagles player, Nwankwo Kanu, will tour Zimbabwe this weekend.

According to Lusaka Times, Kanu’s visit to Zimbabwe is sponsored by Emirates, which will also bring the exalted FA Cup trophy all the way from England to tour alongside him. This will be the trophy’s second tour in Africa after being taken to Ghana and Kenya in 2016.

On the way to Zimbabwe, ‘Papilo’ will touch down in Zambia where football fans will have the chance to meet him and see the FA Cup trophy for themselves. While there, Kanu, who is an Emirates FA Cup ambassador, will take part in a coaching clinic for students at two schools in Lusaka.

With 13 titles, Arsenal is the most successful club in the FA Cup, and Kanu helped the club win three of them.
