Watch Falz & YCee Go On Hilariously Bad Dates In ‘Something Light’

Two of the most consistent Nigerian rappers working today, Falz and YCee first collaborated on DJ Neptune’s lowkey “Bumpa” earlier this year. Falz then later appeared on YCee’s “Bubbly”, one of the best tracks off his First Wave EP.

Well, YCee just graciously returned the favour by collaborating with Falz on his fourth single of 2017, the hilarious “Something Light”.

While Falz’s first song of the year, the viral hit “Wehdone Sir”, dragged all sorts of annoying Nigerians – from obnoxious Yahoo boys to irritating onigbeses – “Something Light” is a bit more focused and a little funnier.

The hilarious song is dedicated to broke girls: the ones who order everything off the menu on the first date (with a little extra to take home), constantly beg for airtime and never ever seem to have transport fare.

The gorgeously-shot music video, which was directed by Clarence Peters (who is on a roll these days), features Falz and YCee narrating their ordeals to each other, with Instagram comediennes, Wofai and Gloria Oloruntobi, starring as their terrible dates.
