I invest my money on things that will sustain me forever, says Reekado Banks

Reekado Banks, Afrobeat singer, has revealed that he isn’t the typical flashy guy despite his celebrity status.

In a recent chat, Banks said he’d rather put his money into things that have a future impact than spending frivolously.

He said: “I’m a futuristic guy, I’d rather invest my money on different things that would sustain me forever and my generation. One of the things is a school and I’m building one- primary and secondary- somewhere in Lagos.”

The artiste however admitted that he is also human, saying, “I blow my cash too. Everyone with their own priorities”.

Banks said he would be taking a break from his album production to focus on newer projects. The ‘Own That’ singer recently released two songs, ‘Easy’ and ‘Kiss me’.

He said: “Easy is a fast track song that tells the story of a guy that just met a girl for the first time and is trying to get married to her. The girl, in turn, scares him off saying her bride price is a particular amount. It is just comical. Kiss me is a feel good love song.”

The entertainer also gushed about his “angel” in the industry, ace music producer Don Jazzy.

“[Mavin] has been there for me since 2014 till now. [Don Jazzy] has done the greatest thing for me. He has been amazing, he was the angel that turned everything around,” he added.

On the topical issue regarding rumors of him fathering a child, Banks artfully dodged the question rather than give an actual answer.

He said, “I’m daddy to the girls. I am a daddy yo so let it go. I’m just living life. There is enough Reekado banks for everybody. I’m engaged, married, single and out here, just living life.”
