Yemi Alade, Davido, Adekunle Gold, Wizkid… Five Nigerian stars touring the world this summer

With the global appreciation of Nigerian music seemingly at an all-time high, quite a number of artistes are touring parts of the world, in a bid to promote their EPs and albums.

Here are five of the Nigerian artistes touring the world this summer.

Davido to tour 28 cities… and possibly more

Following the success of his singles ‘IF,’ and ‘FALL,’ the DMW singer recently began his ’30 Billion World Tour’.

The tour commenced on June 23 and will end on September 16.

Davido is expected to visit 28 cities in the US, Canada, Africa and Europe.

Thus far, he has performed in Ukraine, Djibouti, Sweden, and Denmark.

 

Wizkid touring the US to promote ‘Sounds From The Other Side’ and will also go on tour with Future

Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun is touring the United States to promote the imminent release of his ‘Sounds From The Other Side’ project.

The ‘Ojuelegba’ star, who spent most of 2016 on tour, returned to the road on July 2 in Washington DC.

Wizkid is expected to perform in Brussels on July 9 but he’s yet to announce the dates for his forthcoming concerts in Atlanta and Dallas.

The singer would also be touring the US alongside hip-pop star, Future, on ‘The Future Hndrxx tour’.

Wizkid will perform in Florida, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.

Yemi Alade has kicked off her ‘Mama Africa’ world tour

Afro-pop singer, Yemi Alade, kicked off her ‘Mama Africa’ tour of the US and Canada on June 30.

She has so far played in California and in Los Angeles.

Alade will also perform in Houston, New England, Chicago, Washington, Dallas, Atlanta and New York.

She is yet to state the cities she will be touring in Canada.

Mr Eazi’s ‘Detty Tour’ is in full swing

Afrobeat singer, Mr Eazi, kicked off his ‘Detty World Tour’ since February.

He has performed in New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington, California, Ohio, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Rhode Island, Boston and Connecticut.

The singer also toured Europe from May 16 to June 3.

There was also a UK and Ireland tour which kicked off June 14 and ended June 23.

Mr Eazi will commence the Canada leg of his tour on July 18 and it will end on August 5. He will visit Toronto, Ontario, Montreal and Winnipeg.

The ‘Skin Tight’ singer will in October tour Malaysia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Hong Kong and Seoul.

 

Adekunle Gold’s ‘One Night Stand’ tour kicked off in London last weekend

Adekunle Gold and his band, 79th Element, kicked off their ‘One Night Stand’ world tour on Friday, June 30, in London.

The singer and his band will next perform in Dublin on July 7 at the Button Factory.

Gold will also tour Paris, Maryland, Houston, New York, Dallas and Canada.

The ‘One Night Stand’ tour would climax in Lagos.
