Following the well-deserved success of “Only Girl” featuring Moelogo, the undisputed king of romantic highlife, Adekunle Gold, has kicked off the second half of the year with one of his strongest singles to date, “Call On Me”.

Produced by Pheelz (the man responsible for Adekunle’s “Ready”), “Call On Me” starts off with Simi’s inimitable voice crooning softly in the background – before transitioning rather smoothly into Adekunle Gold’s very solid verse.

On the catchy song, Adekunle continues his winning trend of singing about the different facets of being in love – this time tackling the pressure we tend to feel to change ourselves for someone we love.

 

“Call On Me” is off Adekunle’s upcoming album, About 30, and since he is currently on tour in the UK, we don’t know when he’ll be dropping the album or another single – but we absolutely can’t wait.
