Reekado Banks And Hausa Culture Are The Stars Of Bisa Kdei’s ‘Feeling’
“Jollof na jollof, whether Naija or Ghana” sings Reekado Banks towards the end of Ghanaian highlife singer, Bisa Kdei‘s “Feeling” – a declaration that reminds us how ridiculous one of the many reasons Nigerians and Ghanaians constantly fight on social media is.

Thankfully the online animosity between the two West African giants hasn’t extended to the studio, because let’s be honest, we make the best music together – “Daddy Yo” and “No Kissing Baby” immediately spring to mind – and “Feeling” is further proof of that.
Produced by Pee Wezel, “Feeling” is a smooth highlife love song that allows Bisa Kdei to show off the impressive texture of his voice – a texture that’s well matched by Reekado Banks’ signature raspiness.
While the song is pretty enjoyable for the most part, it gets kicked into another gear once Reekado takes over the second half – dominating it with his boundless charisma.
The video for “Feeling” also makes the song infinitely better. Directed by Yaw Skyface, Bisa said the video is his own way of celebrating Hausa culture – by putting a gorgeous Hausa traditional wedding front and centre.
