Following American Driver, his 2017 comedy with an all-star cast, award-winning nollywood director, Moses Inwang, is back with an even bigger set of stars in the new thriller, Alter Ego.

The gripping film – which stars Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde in her first nollywood movie in three years – tells the story of a lawyer who goes through great lengths, legal or otherwise, to prosecute sex offenders and molesters.

Alter Ego, another nollywood movie highlighting the rampant rape culture in Nigeria, couldn’t have come at a better time.  Although cases of sexual abuse are brought up on a daily basis in the media, there is an outstandingly poor record of convicting sexual assault and rape – with only roughly 10% of cases resulting in convictions.

So can anyone blame a frustrated lawyer for resorting to any means necessary to make sure rapists and sexual assaulters are actually punished? I think not. Alter Ego also stars Wale Ojo, Jide Kosoko, Tina Mba, Victor Olaotan and more, and you can catch it in Nigerian cinemas from July 21.
