Dakore Egbuson Navigates A Love Triangle In ‘Isoken’ in cinemas on June 16

Jade Osiberu, the brilliant mind behind NdaniTV – and by extension a bunch of your favourite shows, Gidi Up, Skinny Girl In Transit and Rumour Has It – is about to bless us all with her first feature film, Isoken, and after a couple of teasers and a new full-length trailer, it officially looks like a winner.

Right now, Isoken seems to have all the ‘ingredients’ that made The Wedding Party such a monster hit: A brilliant director creating her first feature film (check!), a star-studded cast (check!!) and a story that ends with, well, a wedding party (check!!!).

Written, directed and produced by Osiberu, Isoken follows it’s titular character as she navigates a love triangle and the pressure from her family to get married.

 

With the flawless Dakore Egbuson playing the titular character, and a supporting cast that’s bursting at the seams with talents like Tina Mba and Funke Akindele, it would take a truly unfortunate misstep to make this movie anything short of fantastic (or at the very least, enjoyable).

Isoken is set to premiere in cinemas around Nigeria on June 16 – but till then, you can watch the trailer below:
