Kelechi, Iwobi, Etebo favoured for honours

Although no Nigerian player is on the three top nominees for the prestigious Glo/CAF African Player of the Year for 2016, the country has a bright chance of picking the Young Player Award and the Most Promising Player award.

Nigerian trio of Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Oghenekaro Etebo lead other contenders for the awards.

The Arsenal youngster, Iwobi, was shortlisted in the Young Players’ category.While, Kelechi,Etebo are top on the shortlist for the most Promising Players award which also has Elia Meschak ,Naby Keita and Ramadan Sobhi.
