LISTEN: Wizkid, Drake ‘Come Closer’ for Hit-Bound Song of the Year

Nigerian music star, Wizkid, has released ‘Come Closer’, his latest collaboration with Canadian rapper, Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham – almost three months after the song leaked online as ‘Hush Up The Silence‘.

The slow-paced song with a Caribbean melody was officially released in the wee hours of Friday.

Back in February, Wizkid and Drake shared a song on OVO Sound Radio called “Hush Up the Silence” that continued their string of dancehall-influenced bangers. Well, on Thursday night, the duo decided to make it official by releasing the track for real.

The tune, now re-titled “Come Closer,” can be found on iTunes and Apple Music, or streamed below via Spotify.

‘Come Closer’, which has the potential of becoming a major hit song, is the third collaboration between both artists.

Drake and Skepta remixed Wizkid’s monster hit, Oljuelegba, in 2015 and he would later feature the Nigerian star in his 2016 chart topper, One Dance.

One Dance, which was one of the most successful songs of 2016, earned Wikid his first ever Grammy award.

The music video of ‘Come Closer’ will also be released today.
