‘Americanah’ by Chimamanda Adichie Won The One Book One New York Program And We’re Really Happy!
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is one of our favourite novelists and we’re such huge fan of hers and her fashion style too
And her amazing clap back game which came with a GIF (THE WAY SHE ROLLED HER EYES, MAN)
So when we heard that our fave’s novel, Americanah which revolves around Ifemelu and Obinze won the inaugural edition of the One Book One New York Program, this was us.
The One Book One New York program is the largest community reading program in the United States bringing together book-loving New Yorkers to read the same book at the same time. The program was launched in February 2017 and featured five celebrities who each urged New Yorkers to vote for one of five award-winning books and our own Americanah won! (It was selected by actress, Bebe Neuwirth)
