Meet Simisola Gbadamosi: The delightful 5 year old Baker

Simisola is a  5 year old entrepreneur who loves to bake at Simi’s Bakehouse. She’s also a growing philanthropist as she donates some of her profits to charities for children. We spoke to Simi and her lovey mum, Foluso who’s encouraged and supported her on this journey at such an early age. We absolutely loved everything she’s had to say.

Tell us about yourself and your cute little business?
My name is Simisola Gbadamosi, I am 5 years old and I have a business called Simis BakeHouse..

What gave you the idea to start your business?
When my mummy asked me if I wanted to start a business.

What sort of baked goods do you make?
Cookies and brownies.

What do you enjoy baking the most?
Both.

What are some of the challenges you’ve faced and how have you moved past them?
When I am using the electric whisk, I have learnt to be extra careful so the cookie mix doesn’t splatter.

What do you love most about your business?
I love the way my brownies and cookies look.

How have mummy and daddy supported your business?
By helping me bake and pack cookies.

What’s your biggest motivation?
How yummy they are.

What gave you the idea to donate part of your profits to charity?
I want to help poor children.

What advice will you give to young children like you hoping to start any business?
You can do anything you want to because of God.
