WAFCON 2024: Falcons ready to tame Zambia – Madugu

Justin Madugu, Head Coach of the Super Falcons, says the team are mentally, psychologically, and tactically prepared for Friday’s crucial quarterfinal match against the Copper Queens of Zambia at the ongoing Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Madugu, speaking ahead of the encounter, said the coaching crew had studied the Zambian team closely, identifying their strengths and weaknesses to devise appropriate offensive and defensive strategies to tame them.

‎”We know the key players of Zambia that are being mentioned and the threats they can pose if they are given opportunities; so we have spoken to the players that they must be fully-ready,” He remarked.

Madugu stressed that there will be no room for errors, urging the players to stay alert, believe in themselves, and remain motivated to secure victory as they edge closer to achieving “Mission X”.

Nigeria, in pursuit of a record-extending 10th continental title, will face Zambia at 5 pm at the 30,000-capacity Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.
