JAMB extends ban on Law admissions to Fountain University

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has added the Fountain University, Osogbo to the list of Tertiary institutions barred from admitting students for 2025/2026 academic session into the Law Faculty.

In a statement by the Public Communications Advisor of the Board, Fabian Benjamin, the decision follows an additional submission from the Council of Legal Education.

The statement reiterates that for the eight institutions earlier banned from conducting admissions for Law, which includes the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, the ban will be for two academic sessions, 2025/2026 and 2026/2027.

JAMB had suspended admissions for the Law programme; Kwara State University, Malete, Ilorin, Kwara State, Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State, Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State, Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State.

Others are Taraba State University, Jalingo, Taraba State, Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo, Cross River State, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State and Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.

The addition of Fountain University, Osogbo, Osun State brings the number to nine.
