SERVICOM Awards: The Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare emerges best performing organisation

The Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare has been recognized as the Overall Best Performing Ministry, Department, and Agency (MDA) in Nigeria, receiving three additional prestigious awards at the SERVICOM End-of-Year Award Ceremony.

In a statement signed by Alaba Balogun, Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, the Ministry was honored with the Special Recognition Award, Most Innovative in Team A, Best Performing in Team A, and the Overall Best Performing MDA Award, the highest distinction.

Prof. Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister for Health and Social Welfare, stated that these awards highlight the Ministry’s strong commitment to excellence in service delivery. 

“These awards are a testament to the effectiveness of our combined efforts, strengthened systems, and early results that are making a real difference.”

He also recognized the dedication of his colleagues, including former Minister of State Dr. Tunji Alausa (currently the Minister of Education), Hon. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, the Permanent Secretary, Directors, SERVICOM teams, Heads of Agencies and Hospitals, Regulatory Bodies, and all the hardworking staff of the Ministry.

Prof. Pate dedicated these accolades to the Nigerian people and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for fostering an environment that supports impactful service delivery.

He further noted that these awards will motivate the Ministry to innovate, enhance collaborations with stakeholders, and ensure that no Nigerian is left behind in the pursuit of improved healthcare services.
