Rema donates N105m to home church in Benin
Rema has donated N105m to a Christ Embassy church in Benin, Edo State, in a Sunday service. The donation was made to express his gratitude to the church for its support and guidance.
Rema pledged N40m to the church’s infrastructure, N20m to Rhapsody of Realities, and N25m to the teen church’s infrastructure. He also pledged N20 million to widows in the church.
In a video posted by an X handler, Rema stated that the church had supported his family during a difficult time after his father’s passing when they felt lost and abandoned.
This move is coming after Rema arrived in his hometown in Benin on Tuesday for his homecoming concert, where music producer Collins Michael and Mavin crew also showed support.
Rema was said to have entertained the Oba of Benin at his palace, who presented a royal plaque to him before the concert.
According to reports, The church has been instrumental in Rema’s spiritual growth and has provided him with the support he needs.
Also, the Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki, expressed delight towards the afrobeat singer, Rema, while stating that he was one of the backstage artists at his inauguration in 2016. Rema has successfully brought his music to a global audience, earning him multiple awards.
