Southampton sets sight on Nigerian striker David Okereke

Southampton have reportedly turn their attentions to Spezia striker David Okereke as they struggle to seal a deal for Che Adams.

The Saints are lining up a move for Nigerian Okereke , with Ralph Hasenhuttl keen to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season.

Birmingham City striker Adams is thought to be Southampton’s main target but the club are having difficulty getting a deal over the line.

Okereke impressed in the Italian second division with Spezia last term, scoring 10 goals and making 12 assists in 33 games.

His form alerted the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United, but the Saints are apparently the frontrunners.
