JOHN BOYEGA TO PRODUCE A HORROR MOVIE TITLED ‘A SPRIGGAN’

Hollywood Nigerian Actor John Boyega is treading new waters as he takes the realm of co-producing the upcoming UK horror themed movie, ‘A Spriggan‘. It seems he’s onto a whole new experience as he is set to delve into the horror genre in an upcoming flick.

The movie is currently in the process of finding its cast and it’s unknown whether Boyega himself may appear in the film, however, reports have it that the actor will executive produce the UK fantasy-horror A Spriggan, from writer-director Keir Burrows, the director of the movie, ‘Anti-Matter’, through his Upper Room Productions banner.

“A Spriggan” is based on a UK folklore about Spriggans. Spriggans are said to be spirits related to the trolls of Scandinavia, and the creatures were often characterized as old wizards with large, child-like heads. Although small, the creatures were considered to be ghosts of giants; it was believed that they could swell to far greater sizes. Boyega’s film will follow a recently widowed mother who returns to a property owned by her father only to find creatures of this nature lurking on the land.
