Alex Iwobi Nominated For Arsenal ‘Player Of The Month’ And ‘Goal Of The Month’
The 27th Premier League kicked off on August 10 and, believe it or not, the race for the trophy is already heating up. With September here, Arsenal is looking back on the performances of their players in August, and Alex Iwobi is nominated for both ‘Player of the Month’ and ‘Goal of the Month’.
For the past one month, Iwobi has been helping the Gunners navigate their first season in 22 years without Arsène Wenger. Although they’re currently number nine on the table, they have Iwobi to thank for their second goal against Chelsea on August 18.

The goal put the 22-year-old in the list of seven players who have so far scored for Arsenal, and confirmed how valuable he is in both defence and attack.
He’s up against Matteo Guendouzi, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Petr Cech on the ‘Player of the Month’ award; while for the ‘Goal of the Month’ award, he’s nominated alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nacho Monreal.
