Paul Okoye aka RudeBoy Drops The Video For His Latest Love Song, ‘IFAi’
Paul Okoye (aka Rudeboy) has been on a pretty impressive roll since the unfortunate P-Square split. Clearly on a mission to showcase his varied gifts, all of Paul’s releases in the past year have found him trying out (and mostly nailing) different genres — from highlife to afropop.
While Paul’s first set of singles saw him showing off his ability to make radio-friendly hits all on his own, his most recent release, “IFAi” seems to exist purely to remind everyone — fans and sceptics alike — that he is actually a pretty decent vocalist.
Produced by Paul himself, “IFAi” is a pretty straightforward ballad about all-consuming love and the fear of being rejected. While the lyrics manage to run the gamut of generic love song clichés in the span of four minutes, Paul’s surprising vocal range is enough to keep you intrigued.
The video, which was recently released, is about as uninspired as the song’s lyrics. From the foreign location to the prolonged shots of him playing the piano, it’s pretty clear that music videos are currently the only aspect that Paul Okoye’s solo career falls short of when compared to that of his brother’s.
