Students from Whitesands School Lagos made history by winning the highest award in Florida

Congratulations to Team Neon, sponsored by GTBank. Students from Whitesands School Lagos, made history at the globally renowned Conrad Challenge Annual Innovation Summit in Florida, by winning the worldwide competition.

The school also congratulated the Neon team. The Team Neon is the Smoke-Free World Power Pitch Winner 2018 of the Conrad Foundation Spirit of Innovation Challenge Summit held at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This is an unprecedented event in the history of Whitesands School where their students won the highest award in an international competition.

They also received the Good Citizen Award in the same summit. The Team Neon consists of four boys in Junior School: Afolabi Williams-team leader, Olubusiyi Famobiwo, Menashi Mordi and Osagumwenro Naaman Ugbo.

They were accompanied to the event by their coach, Mr Matthew Omotoso, the ICT teacher in Junior School. Two mothers: Mrs Famobiwo and Mrs Williams, also went to accompany the boys.
