Watch The Moving Video For Teni’s Latest Single ‘Wait’

Two months ago, the talented Teni dropped the stunning track, “Wait“, which cemented her place on our list of bonafide rising stars. Inspired by her mum and dad’s love story, Teni has just released a video for the song, and we absolutely love it!

“Wait” sees Teni singing about a solid relationship that’s free of regrets. Laced by an energetic and feel-good beat, Teni sings “I can’t take your pain away, but I can make you feel better/If you stay another day, we can do it together”. The song might seem like a romantic song between lovers, but it’s actually a tribute to her late father.

This comes through in the moving video, which sees Teni reminiscing about her relationship with her father. She appears in the video like a ghost, watching while her father cared for her as a baby. It then switches to her all grown up, with her father’s ghost now watching her play the guitar and cheering her on.

Although the video is quite bright and colourful, the poignancy of it all still comes through. Teni’s bubbly personality is a strong point for her and we love that it shines through in everything she does, even when it’s something as heavy as this. We’re definitely looking forward to hearing more from her, but until then, we’ll be listening to “Wait” over and over again!
