Phyno Joins Forces With Kranium On his Super Impressive New Single, ‘One Chance’
Whenever Phyno decides to collaborate with anyone who isn’t Olamide, it’s always as odd and unexpected as it is entirely welcome — like a week of uninterrupted power supply in Lagos or a traffic-free ride home during rush hour.
That’s kind of what makes “One Chance”, Phyno’s new song with Kranium, really stand out.
It’s not only an Olamide-free feature, it’s a team-up between two solid artists who don’t seem like they’d ordinarily be on each other’s radars.
Produced by KezyKlef, the infectious love song plays to the strengths of both artists.
We get to hear Phyno seamlessly alternate between rapping and singing in both Igbo and English, while Kranium blesses the song with his signature dancehall-tinged delivery.
On the track, Phyno begs the woman of his dreams to give him a chance to win her over. “Me I no fit wait another day/ If no be your way I no dey go/ Nwa, I’m ready to do wetin it take”, he declares at the start of the song. Kranium follows suit on his stellar verse (“It’s been a long time me wan hold ya”).
At this point, we have lost count of just how many brilliant singles Phyno has dropped in the past year. We don’t even have an idea when he will be releasing his third studio album, but we have a strong feeling it will be worth the wait.
