Russia 2018 Nigeria Vs Argentina Group D Match Tickets Are Already Sold Out

When it comes to football, Nigeria and Argentina can’t seem to get over each other. It’s a love affair that has continued to play out since their first World Cup game in 1994. In fact, it’s as if the two are always measuring how well they’re doing based on their performance against the other.

As if the universe hasn’t had enough, last December saw the two countries drawn in the same group for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. And to show how hyped people are to see them play against each other, tickets for their June 26th group match have sold out!

According to All Africa, the second phase of ticket sales for the World Cup started on Tuesday and within 24 hours all available 356,700 tickets sold out – with the Nigeria vs Argentina Group D match being among the top ticket sales for African countries. Given that the match will be the last in the group, it appears football fans don’t care much about Nigeria’s initial games against Croatia and Iceland.

Egypt is also leading the pack in ticket sales as all their three group games have sold out. Three other matches involving African teams that have also sold out are Japan vs Senegal, Belgium vs Tunisia and Portugal vs Morocco.
