Burna Boy Is Working On New Music With Timbaland And Skrillex
Burna Boy seems poised to have the best year of any Nigerian artist working today. Following the success of his masterful album, Outside, and landing the only feature on Fall Out Boy’s new album — which got to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart — he still isn’t taking a break just yet.
If his Instagram stories are anything to go by, the afro-fusion star is currently working on new music with two of the most acclaimed producers in the world: Timbaland and Skrillex, who both have 12 Grammy awards and 30 nominations between them.
This is a huge deal for the “Heaven’s Gate” singer. Skrillex was responsible for a big chunk of Justin Beiber’s Purpose, which ended up landing an ‘Album of the Year’ Grammy nod; while Timbaland’s impressive body of work really needs no introduction.
It looks like of all the Nigerian artists who have tried (and are still trying) to crossover into the international market, Burna Boy might just end up being the one who makes the biggest dent — yes, maybe even more than Wizkid. Anyway, we can’t wait to hear how both songs turn out.
