Toronto Fashion Academy Targets Nigerian Talents
Nigerian talents who are into modelling, fashion and beauty are positioned for a huge opportunity for international collaboration when Toronto Fashion Academy (TFA) holds its skill-building program tagged Fashion 101 in Lagos from Monday April 09 to 14.
The project which has the proud backing of the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Information targets to reach about 1,000 talents in fashion in four key Fashion Departments namely; styling, modelling, photography and make-up.
The event rolls outs with a weeklong Intensive Certificate Master Class at the Nigeria Edition of International Fashion Encounter 2018.
Of the 1,000 participants, four lucky talents will qualify for a full sponsorship internship opportunity with TFA and participate at International Fashion Encounter Canadian Edition.
Speaking on the show, Abi Goodman, CEO, OZ Consulting Firm & OZ Management Firm who are the official representative of TFA in Africa explained that bringing TFA to Nigeria is in line with the goal of her organization to put African talents, arts and culture on the world map.
In 2017, Goodman and her team successfully facilitated the visitation of His Imperial Majesty Oni Adewusi of Ife, His Royal Highness Obi of Akwa and other Nigerian celebrities as part of Canada150 Celebration. It has also facilitated several tours of Nigerian artistes across Canada such as Flavour in three cities tours which became one of the most successful tour from Nigeria community in Canada.
It also organized the charity match tagged Match4IDPs that took over Kano with the support over 50,000 fans and Kano State Government.
