Davido Teams Up With Mayorkun, Dremo & Peruzzi On New Track, ‘Mind’

While Davido dominated 2017 with brilliant solo singles — “If”, “Fall”, “Fia” and “Like Dat” — it seems like his plan for 2018 is to collaborate with everyone he can. He started off the year by teaming up with DJ E Cool on the addictive “Ada”, and followed it up by featuring on five more tracks.

Well, he clearly isn’t ready to take a break. He just teamed up with the stars of his label, Davido Music World (DMW) — Mayorkun, Peruzzi and Dremo — on a new single, “Mind”.

Produced by Fresh VDM — the genius behind “Fia” — “Mind” is a mid-tempo track, with interpolations of Usher’s “Caught Up”, that finds all four artists singing about how far they’re willing to go for the girls they love.

“Mind” is the third DMW collaboration — following “Back 2 Back” and “Prayer” — but it’s easily the best. While everyone on the song definitely delivers, it’s no surprise that the label’s strongest players, Davido, Mayorkun and Fresh VDM, are the song’s standouts.

So, while we are not sure if we’re going to be getting a compilation album from the artists of DMW anytime soon (or even at all), the three songs they’ve released so far, prove that if they ever decided to release one, it would be pretty solid.
