Wande Coal Drops The Video For His Last Banger, ‘Tur-key Nla’
2017 marked a career renaissance for the supremely talented Wande Coal. He had his first hit in a very long time, the DJ Tunez-assisted “Iskaba”, and followed it up with a bunch of other solid singles and features — from “Funkeh” to his work on Phyno’s “Zamo Zamo”.

He then proceeded to end his very strong year with the infectious banger, “Tur-key Nla”. Now, he has kicked off his 2018 with a colourful video for that track.
Produced by Da Piano, the upbeat “Tur-key Nla” stole the title of best Wande Coal song since “Iskaba”, which was formerly held by “Funkeh”. The main reason, though, is that just like “Iskaba”, “Tur-key Nla” is a song that will have people dumping their home training on the dance floor.
On the track, Wande Coal sings about a beautiful girl he’s interested in, who doesn’t pay him any attention until she realizes he has money. “After she see the money/ she con dey call me honey/ she say she go whine for me”, he sings with all the pettiness he can muster.
The music video, which was directed by Unlimited L.A, is exactly what you’d expect for a song like this. It follows Wande Coal as he tries to woo a beautiful girl with money, and that storyline is occasionally intercut with scenes of people enthusiastically killing the shaku shaku dance.
