WATCH: Korede Bello pays homage to black women in ‘Melanin Popping’

At a time when African artistes are panned for featuring caucasian and light skinned women in their music videos, Korede Bello’s ‘Melanin Popping’ will earn him a lot of admirers.

“The darker the berry, the sweeter the juice,” Bello sings on the mid-tempo song whose video features several black and beautiful women.

With terms such as ‘sexy cocoa butter’, ‘chocolate topping’, fine brown sugar’, the Mavin singer celebrates women of colour.

Although ‘Melanin Popping’ does not have the elements of a club banger, it may yet go far.
