Wande Coal Ends His Solid Year With Another Banger, ‘Tur-key Nla’

Following his DJ Tunez-assisted hit, “Iskaba”, his standout feature on D’Banj’s single, “It’s Not A Lie”, his solid collaboration with Phyno on “Zamo Zamo” and his impressive last single, “Funkeh”, 2017 has definitely been Wande Coal‘s long overdue comeback year.

In a bid to neatly wrap up his very solid year, Wande Coal has dropped one last song that feels destined to be another hit, the ridiculously named “Tur-key Nla”.

Produced by Da Piano, the upbeat “Tur-key Nla” steals the title of best Wande Coal song since “Iskaba”, which was formerly held by “Funkeh”. The main reason, though, is that just like “Iskaba”, “Tur-key Nla” is a song that will have people dumping their home training on the dance floor.

On the track, Wande Coal sings about a beautiful girl he’s interested in, who doesn’t pay him any attention until she realizes he has money. “After she see the money/ she con dey call me honey/ she say she go whine for me”, he sings with all the pettiness he can muster.

While his sophomore album, Wanted, wasn’t as good as we expected it to be  — especially since his debut album is still one of the strongest to come out of Nigeria — we are glad to finally see Wande back in top form. Let’s hope his upcoming third album reminds everyone just how talented he is.
