Listen To Mayorkun Shine On The Remix Of Ycee’s ‘Komije’
Three months ago, Ycee dropped the infectious “Komije”, the lead single off Tinny Entertainment’s upcoming compilation album. Following the song’s expected success, the label just released a remix with Mayorkun that takes it up a considerable notch.
Produced by Adey (the man behind Ycee’s hit song, “Juice”), the remix goes for adding to the original rather than changing it around. Ycee’s effortless verses and bubbly chorus luckily still sounds fresh, and Mayorkun comes in at the 2-minute mark to steal the show.
On his brief verse, Mayorkun kicks it off with a ballsy but entirely plausible prediction, “make we bet, I go win BET”, before actually going into the theme of the song. Mayorkun sounds particularly good when singing with Ycee, making us wish they actually collaborated on a brand new song.
While we are not sure when the Tinny Entertainment compilation album will be dropping — or even when we’ll be getting another single off it — we are really excited to hear what the rest of the project will sound like.
